Overview

Lima Recipes is a personal passion project that reimagines how we interact with recipes. Paste a URL, share an Instagram post, or snap a photo from your favorite cookbook — the app extracts, translates, converts measurements, and presents everything in a clean, consistent UI.

The Problem

Every recipe website has a different UI, and most of them are terrible. Ingredients are buried under life stories, directions are scattered across the page, and you're constantly scrolling back and forth while cooking. There's no consistent, distraction-free way to follow a recipe.

The Approach

Built a digital cookbook that takes any recipe source — URLs, Instagram posts, or photos of physical cookbooks — and automatically extracts the content using AI. The app translates languages, converts measurements to your preferred metric system, and renders everything in a beautiful, standardized UI designed for cooking.
